Private jet charter pricing

How much does it cost to charter a private jet?

A short one-way private flight within Europe generally starts at around €6,000. The final price depends on route, aircraft category, positioning, date and availability.

In brief

A realistic price at a glance

You charter the complete aircraft rather than a single seat. For a European one-way journey, a realistic budget is usually €6,000 to €25,000; intercontinental flights often start near €50,000.

Indicative rates

How much does a private jet cost per hour?

A private jet is chartered as a complete aircraft rather than sold per seat. An hourly rate is therefore a useful starting point, but it is not the final charter price. For ad-hoc charter, JetServiceNL always provides a price for the complete journey, including the operational elements relevant to your route.

Your charter price

What determines the price of your private flight?

A private flight is about more than flight time alone. You reserve the complete aircraft, crew and operational planning for your journey. The final charter price therefore depends mainly on the aircraft, positioning, airports, travel date and current availability.

Booking early usually gives you the widest choice. The sooner we can plan your journey, the better the chance of finding a suitable aircraft that is already well positioned and can be efficiently included in the flight schedule.

Aircraft and cabin

Passenger count, luggage, range and cabin preferences determine the category you actually need.

Positioning

The aircraft may need to fly empty to your departure airport or return to its home base.

Airports and slots

Landing, handling, parking and slot charges vary by airport and time of operation.

Early booking and availability

An early request gives us more room to find suitable aircraft and favourable positioning. During peak travel weeks, major events and for last-minute requests, the available fleet is often more limited.

Crew planning

Multiple sectors, waiting time, duty limits and overnight stays affect the operation.

Additional requests

Catering, pets, specialist baggage, transfers, de-icing and local taxes are included when relevant.

For the widest choice of suitable aircraft, we recommend requesting your flight as early as possible. This gives us more flexibility to optimise availability, positioning and planning.

Practical examples

Indicative one-way prices from Amsterdam

These ranges provide a more useful indication of a complete one-way journey than an hourly rate alone. They assume a suitable aircraft category, normal availability and standard operational planning.

Indicative ranges only. Actual pricing depends on the airport, date, aircraft location, passengers, luggage and cabin requirements. A return journey is not always exactly twice the one-way price.

Charter intelligently

How to control the total cost

01

Share your real priorities

Clear timing, luggage and comfort requirements allow us to select the right aircraft rather than the largest one.

02

Be flexible where possible

A nearby airport or slightly different departure time can unlock better-positioned aircraft.

03

Compare complete proposals

Check positioning, handling, catering, de-icing and crew costs rather than comparing headline rates.

04

Consider an empty leg

When route and timing align, an empty positioning sector can offer attractive value.

05

Consider JetCard or participation

Frequent European travellers may benefit from more predictable capacity and pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Clarity before you book.

The most common questions about private jet charter costs.

What is the lowest realistic private jet price?

A complete short one-way charter within Europe generally starts near €8,000. A very short route, favourable positioning or a suitable empty leg can be lower, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Do I pay per passenger or for the whole aircraft?

You generally charter the complete aircraft. The base price usually remains the same when more passengers travel, provided the aircraft has sufficient capacity.

Why is a return flight not always twice the one-way price?

For a short return the aircraft may wait. For a longer stay it may return to base or a different aircraft may operate the return sector. Positioning and crew planning determine the most efficient option.

Are airport fees and catering included?

Our proposal clearly states what is included. Landing, handling, positioning and standard catering are usually incorporated. Exceptional de-icing, bespoke catering or local charges are itemised when relevant.

Can an empty leg be significantly cheaper?

Yes, when your route and timing match an existing positioning flight. Empty legs offer less flexibility and can change operationally, but can be attractively priced.

When is a Phenom 300 a good choice?

The Phenom 300 is particularly well suited to European missions of roughly two to four hours with up to seven or eight passengers, depending on configuration and luggage.

How quickly will I receive a private jet quote?

After receiving your request, our charter team reviews it personally and checks current availability and conditions with suitable operators. Timing depends on the route and complexity of the journey.
