Madrid and Barcelona: business travel with different airport profiles
Madrid–Barajas (MAD / LEMD) is the logical gateway for the capital and central Spain. Madrid works very well for a corporate day return and for a longer stay built around art, dining, shopping and football. The city is extensive: a meeting near Salamanca, Paseo de la Castellana or a congress venue needs different chauffeur planning from a hotel beside the historic centre.
Cuatro Vientos is closer to the city but is not a standard alternative for every charter because of opening and acceptance. From the traveller’s perspective, the choice stays simple: we use it only when it genuinely saves time and the full flight can be confirmed. Barajas remains the broad and reliable option for most corporate and leisure programmes.
Barcelona–El Prat (BCN / LEBL) serves Barcelona, Sitges and many journeys along the Catalan coast. The city combines congresses, technology and international business with architecture, dining and beach life. Private-jet parking can tighten during major exhibitions, sporting events and summer weekends. For a villa outside the city, we consider Girona or Reus only when the complete door-to-door journey improves.
The Spanish coast: Málaga, Alicante, Valencia and Seville
Málaga–Costa del Sol (AGP / LEMG) is the first choice for Málaga, Marbella, Puerto Banús and many Costa del Sol resorts. The region combines beaches, golf, spas, dining and marinas and remains attractive beyond summer. Alicante suits the Costa Blanca, from Dénia and Altea to resorts farther south. Valencia combines a city break, design, dining and beaches; Murcia may be more practical for southern specific accommodation areaes. We arrange Alicante’s advance permission behind the scenes. The traveller’s decision rests on the hotel, villa, golf resort or marina location rather than provincial boundaries.
The Balearics: Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca
Ibiza is more than nightlife, combining beach clubs and restaurants with quiet fincas, coves and established marinas. Its airport also serves travellers continuing to Formentera by boat. July and August reward early flight and transfer planning; May, June and September often offer more calm without losing the Mediterranean character.
On Mallorca, Palma is the normal charter gateway for the capital, Serra de Tramuntana, marinas and resorts across the island. Menorca is quieter, with small coves, nature and villas near Mahón or Ciutadella. The side of the island determines chauffeur time. On an island-hopping itinerary, arriving in Mallorca and departing from Ibiza or Menorca can avoid lengthy ferry returns.
Island journeys often involve large cases, children’s baggage, golf equipment or items for a yacht. An aircraft with enough seats may still lack hold volume. We verify the specific aircraft, loading door and return strategy before confirmation.
The Canary Islands: longer sector, choose the island first
A flight from the Netherlands to the Canary Islands takes more than four hours and suits winter sun, golf and a longer resort stay. Tenerife South is closer to many resorts, while North may fit Santa Cruz and the greener north. Gran Canaria combines beaches and resorts with Las Palmas. The exact island and hotel therefore come before aircraft selection.
Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Palma each have their own airport. Flying to the wrong island and continuing by ferry is rarely the premium solution. For a multi-island trip, a combination of private sectors and local transport can be efficient. The same jet does not necessarily need to wait or operate every sector.
