Southern Italy, Puglia and the Amalfi Coast
Naples is the broad gateway for the city, Capri, Ischia and the western Amalfi Coast. Salerno can remove substantial road time for Paestum, Cilento and addresses on the eastern side when schedule and aircraft fit. For Capri or a yacht, we plan car and boat as one connection. That matters more to the complete journey than a few minutes of airborne time.
In Puglia, Bari fits the city, Polignano a Mare and the north, while Brindisi generally works better for Ostuni, Lecce and Salento. The region lends itself to masseria stays, beaches, wine and dining and is often booked for a full week. Sicily and Sardinia: island planning and summer parking
Sicily is large enough for the airport to follow the stay. Palermo suits the capital, Cefalù and the west; Catania serves Taormina, Etna and the east coast. Comiso can be useful for Noto, Ragusa and the southeast. A touring itinerary can arrive at one airport and depart from another, avoiding a long return drive on the final holiday day.
On Sardinia, Olbia is the classic choice for Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo and yachts in the northeast. Cagliari suits the south and Alghero the northwest coast. Villa, resort and marina determine the decision. July and August reward early planning; June and September often provide the same sea and luxury with greater calm and flexibility.
