Teesside International Airport (MME / EGNV) is the natural first choice for Darlington. Its runway is approximately 2,291 metres long and the on-site Jet Centre handles business and private flights. Teesside is also an airport of entry, allowing international charter flights from the Netherlands to arrive directly, with the relevant border and handling arrangements confirmed for the individual movement.
Airport slots are not required for private movements at Teesside, although handling and prior permission are mandatory. Travellers who prefer to stay in town can use central Darlington as a practical base for meetings in different directions. Teesside Airport publishes normal operating hours from 06:00 to 22:00 local time every day, with movements outside those hours available on request. The Jet Centre lists normal handler hours from 08:00 to 20:00 local time, again with extensions available by arrangement and at additional cost. For a very early outbound or late return, we therefore check the requested movement before presenting the timing as firm.
A same-day return from the Netherlands can work very well when the meetings are compact. For a short stop, the aircraft may wait and return with the same crew.
