Light and super light jets

Light and super light jets combine speed, range and a practical cabin. For five to nine passengers, they offer a compelling balance of comfort and charter cost on many European routes.

Versatile across Europe

A natural choice for flights of two to five hours

Light jets suit short business trips, weekend breaks and longer sectors towards southern Europe. They provide more cabin and baggage space than entry-level aircraft while remaining compact enough for many regional airports. For a smaller party, this is often the category where comfort, speed and price come together most effectively.

A Citation CJ3, CJ4, Phenom 300, Citation XLS or PC-24 will not produce the same experience. Cabin height, range, baggage capacity and short-runway performance differ considerably between models. The category is therefore a useful starting point, rather than a final recommendation.

Light or super light

More space and range when the journey requires it

A light jet typically seats five to eight passengers in a compact cabin. Super light jets generally provide additional cabin length, more baggage room and greater practical range. Lavatory arrangements and cabin service also tend to be more comfortable on the larger models, although the specification varies by individual aircraft.

For a short flight with four travellers, a standard light jet may be entirely sufficient. With eight passengers, substantial luggage or a longer sector, a super light jet offers more margin and a more relaxed cabin.

A practical shortlist

Availability is part of the decision

We assess the route using the actual passenger count and baggage requirements. Available aircraft are then compared for cabin, positioning, airport performance and terms. This avoids selecting an attractively priced jet that proves too small in practice or requires an unnecessary fuel stop.
